Privacy Policy

2.What we collect

We only collect what you give us, plus the ordinary technical information any web server records. Specifically:

• Information you type into a form. Your name and phone number, and, where you choose to provide them, your email address, property address, town, property type, the service you want, your timeline, preferred visit date and time, preferred contact method, and whatever you write in the description field.
• Photographs you choose to upload. The estimate form lets you attach pictures of the area. These are emailed to us and are not stored on this website.
• Technical information. Our web host records standard server logs, IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, as every web server does.
• Analytics, if enabled. Where Google Analytics is switched on, it records anonymous usage such as which pages were viewed and roughly where in the world the visit came from.

We do not ask for and have no use for payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, or any other sensitive identifier. Please do not send them through this website.

3.Why we collect it

To do the thing you asked us to do, and for very little else:

• To call or email you back about your enquiry and arrange a visit.
• To prepare an estimate and, if you go ahead, to schedule and carry out the work.
• To keep a record of jobs quoted and completed, as any contractor does.
• To keep the website working, secure and reasonably fast.

We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to data brokers, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

4.Who else sees it

A small number of service providers necessarily handle information in the course of running the site:

• Our web host and email provider, who transmit and store the form submissions sent to us.
• Google, where Analytics or Ads conversion tracking is enabled, and for the embedded map on our contact page. Loading the map means Google receives your IP address.
• Subcontractors or suppliers, only where a specific job requires it, for example a stone supplier needing a delivery address.

We will also disclose information if we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to protect our rights, property or safety, or that of someone else.

5.Calls, texts and emails

When you tick the consent box on a form, you are agreeing that we may contact you by phone, text message or email about that request. That consent covers our reply and the arrangements around your estimate. It is not a subscription to marketing.

You can withdraw it at any time. Reply STOP to any text, tell us on the phone, or email glm06854@yahoo.com and we will stop. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply to any texts.

Consent to be contacted is never a condition of getting an estimate from us. If you would rather we only called, say so and that is what we will do.

6.Cookies and tracking

This website sets no advertising cookies of its own and has no third-party ad trackers embedded in it.

Where Google Analytics is enabled it uses cookies to tell a returning visit from a new one. The embedded Google Map on our contact page may also set cookies when it loads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works perfectly well without them.

We honour browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals where our analytics provider supports them.

7.How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not turn into work are kept for as long as they are useful for following up, generally no more than two years, and then deleted.

Records relating to work we actually carried out are kept longer, because we may need them for warranty questions, insurance, or tax and accounting obligations.

You can ask us to delete your information sooner. See "Your choices" below.

8.How we protect it

The website is served over HTTPS, so anything you submit is encrypted in transit. Form submissions reach us as email and are held in ordinary business mailboxes with access limited to the people who need it.

We should be straightforward with you: no method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure, and email in particular is not a confidential channel. We take reasonable measures, but we cannot promise absolute security, and nobody honestly can.

9.Your choices

Whatever your state of residence, you may ask us to:

• Tell you what information we hold about you.
• Correct anything that is wrong.
• Delete it, where we are not required to keep it.
• Stop contacting you, by any or all channels.

Connecticut residents have specific rights under the Connecticut Data Privacy Act, including the rights above and the right to appeal a refusal. If we decline a request we will tell you why and how to appeal it.

10.Children

This website is meant for adults arranging work on a property. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, contact us at glm06854@yahoo.com and we will delete it.

11.Links to other sites

Where we link out, to Google Maps, for instance. That site has its own privacy policy and we are not responsible for it. This policy covers only what happens on minutemenlandserviceinc.com.

12.Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be made clear rather than slipped in. The version published here is always the one that applies.
